Master in Management of Water Resources Soils and of Food Conservation

The deadline for the applications for the Master Course in “Training of Specialized Technicians in Management of Water Resources, Soils, and of Food Conservation”, organized by the “Department of Civil, Environmental, Aerospace Engineering and Agro-environmental Systems” of the University of Palermo has been extended to 25, October 2013.

The course is addressed to technicians coming from Sub-Saharan African Countries able to design and manage water supply systems, to improve the sanitation and environmental conditions, and to plan the development of an irrigation system that will contribute to the transformation of the agricultural products designed for the internal markets. The course is scheduled to start between October/November 2013 for one year.

The scholarship co-financed by the Italian Government includes the following:

- travel expenses to and from the country of origin;

- boarding and lodging;

- pocket money;

Applications forms available here: http://portale.unipa.it/amministrazione/area1/uoa03/struttura/modulistica.html should include the following documents:

- Self-certification of European I Level Degree in technical-scientific Sciences or equivalent title, with indication of the final score;

- Reference and presentation letter from an Academic Institution (or other affiliated Institution) or NGO of the country of origin which declares to be available to accept the student at the end of the residential period at University of Palermo in order to complete the training;

- Curriculum Vitae et Studiorum;

- Photocopy (both sides) of an identification document;

- Eventual other qualifications.

The application form must be handed over to the Italian Embassy in Ethiopia, Villa Italia, Kebena, Addis Abeba, P.O. Box 1105, Ethiopia, not later than 25, October 2013.
